Tasting Notes

COLOUR

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections and excellent brilliance. The intensity of the colour reflects both ripeness and structure, characteristic of fine Salice Salentino wines.

AROMA

Rich and inviting bouquet with aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, and blackberry jam. Subtle notes of sweet spice, vanilla, and cocoa intertwine with hints of tobacco, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs. The aromatic profile is warm and enveloping, offering both depth and balance.

PALATE

Full-bodied, smooth, and well-rounded. The palate reveals lush dark fruit flavours framed by soft tannins and balanced acidity. Hints of chocolate, spice, and dried fruit create complexity, leading to a long, persistent finish with notes of cherry liqueur and toasted oak. The texture is velvety, combining power and finesse.

CELLARING

Excellent to enjoy now for its generosity and harmony, but capable of ageing gracefully for 5–7 years, developing notes of dried fruit, leather, and sweet spice over time.
